Trees from the Harvard Business School

About the trees from the Harvard Business School

Harvard Business School was established in 1908 with an entering class of 80 students. Now, over 100 years later, it stands as one of the world's most recognized and celebrated academic institutions. Many of the trees on campus have witnessed nearly the entire history of the school.

As the Harvard Business School campus continues to expand, this sometimes necessitates the removal of certain trees. For example, during the construction of Klarman Hall, several trees were removed to make way for its development. The following trees were collected for this project:

  • Baker Library Elm

  • Baker Lawn Honey Locust

  • Klarman Hall Pin Oak and London Plane

  • Morgan Hall Red Elm

  • North Harvard Street Maple
